Poncho Project

Problem:

A staggering 250,000 tents are abandoned at festivals each year harming the environment as tents cannot be recycled, resulting in contributing to landfill.

Challenge:

How can we reduce the amount of tents going to landfill.

Solution:

Poncho project finds a solution to this by up-cycling each tent into ponchos for people to use at future festivals. Set lists are printed on each poncho to reduce the use of paper acting as a wearable programme.

The idea behind the Poncho Project is to welcome people leaving their tents behind because we all know it's not fun dismantling a tent when your hungover. With people abandoning their tents that provides enough re-useable material to up-cycle into festival products for the following year.
